TAN TAO UNIVERSITY SIGNS MOU WITH SOGANG UNIVERSITY – EXPANDING KOREAN LANGUAGE AND INTERNATIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR TTU STUDENTS

Tan Tao University (TTU) and the Sogang University Korean Language Education Center (South Korea) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), opening up more opportunities for TTU students to study Korean, engage in academic exchange, and pursue international learning experiences. The agreement also establishes a foundation for both institutions to implement training, exchange, and academic support activities in the coming years.

A New Milestone in Cooperation with Sogang University

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ngo Quang Vinh – Vice Provost and Editor-in-Chief of the Tan Tao University Journal of Science and Mr. Kim Jin-hwa – Director of the Korean Language Education Center, Sogang University, along with representatives from relevant units of both institutions.

The signing marks a new milestone in the relationship between Tan Tao University and Sogang University, with a focus on developing practical initiatives that respond to students' learning needs, international exposure, and academic development.

The MOU also contributes to expanding TTU's international partnership network in South Korea, particularly in the areas of Korean language education, cultural exchange, and academic collaboration.

Strengthening Educational Cooperation and Academic Exchange

Under the MOU, the two institutions will strengthen cooperation in a range of areas, including Korean language education, student exchange, academic exchange, and support for learning opportunities in South Korea.

More Opportunities to Study Korean at Sogang University

One of the notable benefits of the agreement is that TTU students introduced to programs offered by the Sogang University Korean Language Education Center will receive additional support throughout the application and learning process.

Application Fee Waiver: Students referred by a faculty member may be eligible for a waiver of the application fee.

Application Support: Where applicable, a faculty recommendation letter may be accepted in place of guarantor-related documentation.

Tuition Incentive: For the KAP200 afternoon program, students who register for two consecutive semesters may be eligible for a 10% tuition reduction for the first semester.

In addition, Sogang University can design and deliver short-term Korean language programs tailored to the specific needs of TTU and its learners.

The two institutions also plan to organize online workshops for teachers, provide teaching and learning materials for institutions using the Sogang Korean textbook series, and implement other academic support activities.

Supporting TTU Students on Their International Learning Journey

TTU will accompany and support students in accessing Sogang University's programs by providing information, supporting recommendation letters, selecting and nominating students for suitable programs.

The University will also coordinate with Sogang University on administrative procedures and joint activities, helping create favorable conditions for students to access international learning and cultural experiences.

Through the MOU, TTU students will have more opportunities to:
